Tomorrow – Tuesday, June 26 – is Election Day in Maryland! Polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. I hope you will take the time to vote (if you haven’t already) and encourage a few friends to vote as well! Find your polling place here. I hope you will vote for all of Team46 – Senator Bill Ferguson, and Delegates Luke Clippinger, Robbyn Lewis and me, Brooke Lierman.
Each election is critical to deciding what path we want our City, our state, and our country to take. Tomorrow’s election is just that – our opportunity to reject divisive politics and affirm our insistence on building a Baltimore City that is safe, thriving, inclusive and where each and every person has the opportunity to reach his or her potential. I ran four years ago to make sure our state was doing all it could to help us build a better Baltimore. We’ve made progress – passing landmark legislation to create a state level violence prevention program, finally funding our public transit system and requiring future planning, funding parks & playgrounds and lighting, and ensuring that our schools get state support but are also being held accountable.
But there is so much more to do.
I’m running not to hold a job, but to do a job – to do the tough job of standing up for our residents and our communities by creating opportunity and breaking down barriers.
And I can’t do it alone – that’s why I’m supporting and running with #Team46 – including fellow Delegates Robbyn Lewis & Luke Clippinger and our State Senator Bill Ferguson. You may see my name on someone else’s ballot – it was put there without my authorization. I am supporting Robbyn and Luke for delegate. I am proud that we were all endorsed by the Baltimore Sun!
I hope you’ll get out and vote tomorrow and help make sure that I can keep working for you and with you to build a better Baltimore and a better Maryland.
Thank you for all you have done to help during this campaign – now please remind your friends, make a plan for tomorrow, and VOTE!
My best,
Brooke
